Rae Vogeler:
I’ve met a lot of people as I’ve traveled around Wisconsin campaigning for U.S. Senate. An amazing number of those people agree with my calls for peace, living-wage jobs, quality education, universal health care and a healthy environment. They too feel that the rich in America are growing wealthier at the expense of working people.
A number of those people, who agree with me on so many issues, disagree with my support for immigrant rights.
If you are one of those people, this article is for you. I feel I owe you an explanation of my position.
You and I share a lot of common goals and ideals. Let’s see if we can hammer out some common ground over immigration. Let’s focus on those that are here illegally. And let’s start with why they are coming.
