sourceToday, voters sent a strong message to incumbent Senator Herb Kohl that
he does not represent Wisconsin. Kohl spent roughly $3.2 million out of
his own pocket to fend off opponent Ben Masel, who spent only $902.
Although outspent 3500 to 1, Masel gained the backing of over 50,000
voters who are fed up with Kohl’s support for the Iraq war, the
bankruptcy bill and the rest of the Bush agenda.
Herb Kohl says he is ‘nobody’s senator but yours’, but this primary
proves many Wisconsinites are not so sure. Kohl is betting that his
millions will buy him a fourth term in the Senate. I’m not willing to
stand by and let that happen again.
Kohl's been buying the race for years...
