In S. Dakota, a Hobson's Choice Masquerades as a Choice

From Morons.org:

If someone could help explain the logic of this, I would greatly apprieciate it. It seems that the newest arguement in South Dakota (figures) is that in order to preserve a woman's right to make descisions for herself on her own, without outside influences, they need to outlaw abortion.

That's right. In order to preserve a womans freedom of choice, they feel that they need to take it away. Why? They want to save women from being coerced by boyfriends, husbands, pimps, angry fathers, Lex Luthor or Osama Bin Laden into having abortions that they don't want. In South Dakota, everyone knows that, given the choice without undue pressure from their misogynistic overlords, every woman would choose to have their babies come to full term.

It's so obvious! How could the rest of us missed it?

Proof positive that anti-choicers just plain don't get it. A Hobson's choice isn't actually any choice at all. The argument that women would be free to choose from among zero options is such insane bullshit that only a mental patient would fall for it -- or make the argument.
