The Stuff I Didn't Get To -- 2/10/07

Dino Dana

-This is where the next generation of leaders comes from-
Macalester College in Minnesota is investigating a party who's theme was 'politically incorrect.' "One student came dressed as a Ku Klux Klan member, accompanied by another student who was in blackface and wore a fake noose around the neck." Meet the 2030 CEO of ExxonMobil. (Star Tribune)

-Mr. Wizard he's not-
Rep. Dana Rohrabacher has an excellent grasp of science. In arguing that no one knows what causes global warming (despite the fact that we do), Rohrabacher cited a period of global warming 55 million years ago. "We don’t know what those other cycles were caused by in the past. Could be dinosaur flatulence, you know, or who knows?" Check out the video at TP for the crazy cowlick -- he looks as stupid as he sounds. (Think Progress)

-In his defense, he was too drunk to drive himself-
"A Florence County [SC] man has been arrested for allowing his 11-year-old son to drive the family car while the father was drunk in the passenger seat, sheriff's Capt. Todd Tucker said." No word on whether everyone was wearing seatbelts. (AP)
