Central Connecticut State University's student paper ran a 'satirical' op-ed titled Rape Only Hurts If You Fight It. The author, opinion editor John Petroski, apologized, saying, "It was a stupid thing to do and a stupid topic to even tread on..." Y'think? See, here's the thing -- in order for it to qualify as satire it has to actually be funny. Calling rape 'a magical experience that benefits society as a whole' isn't. (Eat The Press)
