Too Often the Real Culprit
-See, here's another problem with global warming-
William N. Barrett III was charged with felony lewd and lascivious conduct after being spotted riding a sky lift naked in Albany, NY. Usually, you expect stories about nudity and police to include alcohol, but Barrett wasn't drinking. He was, however, charged with possession of marijuana. (Albany Times Union)
-More nudity and police-
I can't do better than to quote the story on this one:
According to police, [Suffolk, VA resident Pablo Lopez] broke into a house, where he set about destroying bird cages. In the course of this, he freed a number of chickens and pigeons. He then killed a number of them.
At this point, the homeowners returned. As they pulled into their driveway, their attention was drawn to Lopez, who ran out of the house naked, briefly attacked their car with a dead pigeon, then ran off.
No word on whether this involved alcohol, drugs, or just run of the mill mental illness. (Metro)
-Is 'parental idiocy' a crime?-
It should be. "A mother and her teenage son have been accused of second-degree murder, with police saying the mother gave him a gun after he lost a fight and told him to take revenge." Vanessa Johnson, 44, and Clarence Johnson, 17, of New Orleans, are still at large. (CNN)
-At what point did it seem like a good idea?-
20 year old Lisa Gilland is in stable condition this noon after being airlifted to Sioux Falls, SD with head and body injuries. It's the definition of an avoidable injury. Gilland tied a plastic sled behind friend Michelle Clobes' pickup. The two took off down a gravel road and reached 25 MPH before Gilland was thrown and hit a tree. Charges are pending. (Keloland.com)
