The Stuff I Didn't Get To -- 3/1/07

Striking a blow for freedom... or something...

-Virtual campaign office virtually vandalized-
Yeah, that's going to accomplish a lot. John Edwards' campaign headquarters in the popular online community Second Life was attacked by republican users. "They plastered the area with Marxist/Lenninist posters and slogans, a feces spewing obsenity, and a photoshopped picture of John in blackface, all the while harrassing visitors with right-wing nonsense and obsenity-laden abuse of Democrats in general and John in particular." No word on how the Edwards campaign expects to ever recover from this devastating assault on a bunch of pixels. You'd think republicans would be too busy fighting in Iraq to do stuff like this, but I guess they don't support the party that much. (John Edwards '08 Blog)

-Why would it even occur to you?-
"Three people were arrested on charges of swapping a 5-month-old boy for a down payment on a used Dodge Intrepid and cash, police said Tuesday." Pueblo, CO resident Nicole Uribe is accused of trading the baby to Jose-Juan Lerma and his wife Irene for the down payment and some cash. Human trafficking in exchange for a used Dodge is, apparently, illegal. Good to know. (AP)

-Who said this?-
"My daughter is going through a phase of wearing jeans so tight she can't bend her knees in them. I have a go at her and say, 'Can't you wear something else? You have a closet full of clothes and you wear the same pants every day. . . And please wear a belt because I don’t want to see your butt crack when you bend over.'" Stumped? It's Madonna. Ok, but can she still wear the conical chrome bra? (NY Post)
