McCain Begins Robo-Call Smear Campaign

It looks like Team McCain didn't expect the Ayers attack to fall as flat as it did last night. In a follow-up to what they seem to have expected to be a terrible blow, they've started a new robo-call campaign.

I got one of these this morning and it sounds as desperate as it reads. That's right, they're blowing money on this in Madison, WI -- liberal central. Not only are they desperate, but they aren't very smart.

I'm calling for John McCain and the RNC because you need to know that Barack Obama has worked closely with domestic terrorist Bill Ayres, whose organization bombed the U.S. capitol, the Pentagon, a judge's home and killed Americans. And Democrats will enact an extreme leftist agenda if they take control of Washington. Barack Obama and his Democratic allies lack the judgment to lead our country. This call was paid for by McCain-Palin 2008 and the Republican National Committee at 202-863-8500. I spoke to women who got the call in Wisconsin and New Mexico, and a Democratic official said they'd also had reports of it in Northern Virginia, Maine, Florida, Missouri, and North Carolina.
