clipped from thinkprogress.org In an interview airing tonight on PBS’s Newshour, host Jim Lehrer asks Vice President Cheney about the U.S. soldiers who have lost their lives in the war in Iraq. Cheney shows little remorse:
Cheney’s comments mirror those of other conservatives, such as House Minority Leader John Boehner (R-OH), who said that the lives lost in Iraq have been a “small price” to pay, and right-wing commentator Frank Gaffney, who declared that all these troops “did have to die” in Iraq. |
I won't call him a psychopath, because they're deluded. Dick Cheney's a sociopath; a conscience-less being whose only goal in life is to serve himself -- no matter what the cost. He knows the difference between right and wrong; he just doesn't care. Grandiose to the point of having a godlike opinion of himself and self-centered to the point of being self-obsessed, Dick's a great example of a complete monster and a total waste of otherwise useful oxygen.
In other words, he's a typical neoconservative.
