In an interview airing tonight on PBS’s Newshour, host Jim Lehrer asks Vice President Cheney about the U.S. soldiers who have lost their lives in the war in Iraq. Cheney shows little remorse:

I won't call him a psychopath, because they're deluded. Dick Cheney's a sociopath; a conscience-less being whose only goal in life is to serve himself -- no matter what the cost. He knows the difference between right and wrong; he just doesn't care. Grandiose to the point of having a godlike opinion of himself and self-centered to the point of being self-obsessed, Dick's a great example of a complete monster and a total waste of otherwise useful oxygen.
