He shares a spot with President Dwight Eisenhower among the three most celebrated US Presidents at time of their ascendancy.
In fact, so many Americans approve of President Obama's performance thus far, that Gallup measured his detractors at just 12 percent, with 68 percent of those surveyed giving him high marks. Twenty-one percent have no opinion.
