A Terror Plot and Questions for Right Wingers

I've got a couple of questions about this.

Associated Press:

Four men are accused of planting what they thought were explosives near two Bronx synagogues. They're also accused of plotting to shoot down a military plane in Newburgh, N.Y.

Three of them appeared in White Plains court on Thursday. Shackles prevented them from raising their hands while swearing to tell the truth.

Assistant U.S. Attorney Eric Snyder said the defendants were "eager to bring death to Jews." And he quoted one as saying: "I would like to get a synagogue."

The FBI found out about the plot, set them up with a fake missile and a phony bomb, and busted them in the act.

OK, first I want to know who the FBI tortured to find out about this. Clearly, torture is the only thing that's kept us safe since 9/11. If this was the work of good old fashioned police work, then everything Republicans have been saying is a bunch of horseshit.

Second, what are we going to do with these guys? They aren't ordinary criminals, they're honest-to-goodness terrorists. That means they have superpowers. No prison can hold them -- unless that prison happens to be in Cuba, because Cuba has magical anti-terrorist-superpower properties that science can't adequately explain. Maybe there's a high concentration of kryptonite in the soil or something. I don't know. I'm not a geologist.

Any right winger want to come along and explain this for me? Because that'd really be helpful.
