And, by "worse," I don't mean "most guilty of" or "most shameless" (although those may very well apply too), I mean "buffoonish." Shelly is the product of rightwing talk radio-influence thinking and operates in a largely fact-free zone of wingnut conspiracy theories and nightmarish paranoid fantasy. I'm always amazed at just how much the Republican base is motivated by sheer terror of the nonexistent. And it's almost like it has to be nonexistent or they refuse to take it seriously. Global warming? Don't make me laugh... But a UN conspiracy to take over the world or fluoride in drinking water as a commie mind control plot? Freak out! Do it now!!

If we look at American history, between 1942 and 1947, the data that was collected by the census bureau was handed over to the FBI and other organizations, at the request of President Roosevelt, and that's how the Japanese were rounded up and put into the internment camps. I'm not saying that's what the Administration is planning to do.
