Stories to Watch: 9/23/10

Thank God. Sesame Street was saved from disaster. Now here's the news...

Turns out there won't be a vote to kill Bush's tax giveaway to the rich until after the election. The White House is placing the blame on Republicans who, to be sure, would've voted en masse to continue throwing money at the already pampered. But Paul Krugman hits the nail on the head by blaming Blue Dog Democrats. I've said it before and I'll say it again; ain't gonna miss you guys come Novemeber.

Also from Krugman: "What is there to say about the Republican Pledge To America? No ideas; no respect for the public’s intelligence." On a related note, many in the GOP base aren't fans either.

The state GOP claims the Wisconsin voter suppression scheme is dead. I wouldn't bet on it. RUSS!!

Ann Coulter can't figure out where she stands on gay people -- pro or con? Meanwhile, Florida falls to the Homosexual Menace .

Stephen Colbert is scheduled to testify before congress on the issue of immigration -- in character.

Finally, Republicans are really pussies about debates and John Boehner tells the most bald-faced lie in the history of American politics.
