Stories to Watch: 5/4/12

Friday. I'm going to try to make it to a recall canvass tomorrow, but I'm not sure I'll make it. Keeping my fingers crossed. Now here's the news...

An overview of the Wisconsin recall primaries, to be held next week.

A lesson Mitt Romney should take to heart: you just cannot please a nutjob like the American Family Association's Bryan Fischer. It simply can't be done. So ignore him -- like everyone else does.

The Heartland Institute's crazy-assed and stupid billboard campaign is already generating trouble for them. Seriously, these guys suck at this propaganda stuff.

Remember this the next time some moron tells you there's no War on Women.

Here's something, just in case you need to be reminded that Bill Kristol is a fool.

Mitt Romney sets an absurdly high bar for what he thinks is a good economy. Someone should ask him if he's willing to promise 4% unemployment and 500,000 job per month under his presidency, just to watch him hem, haw, and squirm.

Social Security is not going broke.

Want to know who the remaining corporate sponsors of ALEC are? Here ya go.

RIP Adam Yauch.

An interesting fact in light of the Elizabeth Warren/Native American controversy. Warren can legitimately claim to be 1/32 Native American. Meanwhile, Cherokee Nation Principal Chief Bill John Baker is likewise 1/32 Cherokee. Bottom line; when your people have gone through a freakin' genocide, requiring absolute ethnic purity in tribal members is a little unreasonable.
