Stories to Watch: 8/13/12

I know the Ryan pick is big news, but surely something else has happened that's worthy of a mention from the punditry.


On that Ryan news front, it looks like Paul's been "palling around with terrorists" -- although, in Ryan's defense, Kamal Saleem is almost certainly a bullshit artist and no terrorist. But given the context, that's really not much of a defense.


Someone save us from centrist fools.


CNN Candy Crowley will host a presidential debate -- the first time in twenty years a woman has done so.


A Politico/George Washington University Battleground poll taken before Romney chose Ryan shows the race a dead heat. This disagrees with other recent polling, so take it with a grain of salt until it's confirmed by other surveys. It's hard to believe Romney would've chose Ryan if he weren't in trouble.
