Stories to Watch: 6/13/13

Six months after the brutal crime, the victims of Sandy Hook were remembered at an event at the Capitol. Six months since school children -- many as young as six years old -- were slaughtered in their classrooms and we decided that the best thing we could do about it was nothing. Not a damned thing. And fuck the worthless cowards in Washington who were too afraid to stand up to NRA and their goons.

I hate to break it to you, but Sean Hannity's a hypocrite, a hack, a demagogue, and a phony. Hard to believe, I know. Steve Benen calls his flip-flopping on domestic surveillance by the NSA "simply breathtaking."

Ron Johnson, a national embarrassment and Wisconsin's shame, says that undermining faith in government is Congress' job. He's certainly an overachiever on that front. I wouldn't trust his ability to drain a bathtub.

The bell tolls for the GOP; in 2012, more white people died than were born.

Finally, the US has confirmed that the Syrian government has used chemical weapons.
