Stories to Watch: 8/21/13

Anti-immigration Republicans seem to have seriously over-estimated the base's passion for the cause.  Nutjob groups Tea Party Patriots and NumbersUSA held a rally in Richmond, Virginia which attracted a throng of "a few dozen people." Bank of America literally worked a 21-year-old intern to death.

The NSA gathered email from thousands of Americans before the FISA court ruled it unconstitutional in 2011.

Tea Party hero and Texas Governor Rick Perry can't wait to get his hands on some of that sweet, sweet Obamacare money.

God does not seem to care for the Creation Museum.

Once again, chemical weapons have been used in Syria. The Syrian Army was the culprit.

This is interesting: Ed Kilgore looks at Wisconsin governor and Tea Party hero Scott Walker and sees Tim Pawlenty.

Finally, the ACLU says the FBI and US immigration authorities use a secret program to profile Muslims and "indefinitely delay immigration benefits." Here's a shocker: the program, known as the Controlled Application Review and Resolution Program or CARRP, was launched under Pres. George W. Bush.
