The Stuff I Didn't Get To -- 3/12/07

Typical Finnish MP

-Qapla'!-
A finnish member of parliament is seeking votes on his website in english, swedish, finnish, and klingon. "Some have thought it is blasphemy to mix politics and Klingon," says Jyrki Kasvi. "Others say it is good if politicians can laugh at themselves." Vulcans say they'd be outraged at the exclusion of their language, but their lack of emotion makes them incapable of it. Kasvi's site can be reached at Kasvi.org. (Reuters)

-A shocking crime-
A motorist near Widener, AR reported seeing a man lying near power lines. "When deputies arrived, they discovered [Terry] Padgett had been holding a long pole with a cutter on the end. Investigators said downed wire cut from other poles was found nearby." Police surmised he was trying to steal copper wire. The wire was live and Padgett was not. Charles Darwin could not be reached for comment. (AP)

You sorry son of a bitches. I knew this man and there is nothing humorous or stupid about his death. Have you ever heard that desperate times equal desperate measures. I don't think that it would be funny if the writers of this blog or website were killed doing 60 in a 55 mph speed zone to get to work on this sorry site and hit another car head on. Just remember that everyone breaks the law on occasion and you never know when you might be the one on this site. You need a Darwin award for laughing at death because you wife or mother or closest loved one might be next.
