It's just a rumor, but the report on Mark Foley's page scandal may come out today.
TPMMuckraker:It's the last day of the 109th Congress, which means that if the GOP-controlled House is going to release its ethics report on the Foley scandal, they have to do it today. So keep an eye out.
Signs are tiny, but promising: senior aides whispered to Roll Call earlier this week that the report "could" be publicly released this week. And ethics committee members murmured to the AP that they don't want to deal with this next year.
Still, no one's quite sure whether the committee will be delivering their long anticipated report.
There's a chance -- a good chance, in my opinion -- that the 'do nothing' 109th will do nothing and slough this off on the 110th. But you never know.

The House ethics committee has found that Republican leaders did not break any rules in handling allegations against former Rep. Mark Foley, but that they were negligent in protecting the teenage pages, a congressional report said.
No one will be reprimanded, the source said.
"The failure to exhaust all reasonable efforts to call attention to potential misconduct involving a member and House page is not merely the exercise of poor judgment; it is a present danger to House pages and to the integrity of the institution of the House," the report's executive summary states.
It further states that some who knew of the allegations shifted responsibility and some declined to probe too deeply into the matter, while "others tried repeatedly to elevate the matter, but encountered obstacles in the chain of command."
So nothing will happen. Big surprise...
