R2D2 goes postal
-Yeah, but is there going to be a stamp?-
The US Postal service has unveiled new mailbox wraps to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the release of Star Wars. Either there's something wrong with my head or these are kind of cool. Although, I suppose one doesn't rule out the other... Expect to see them at post offices soon. (TheForce.net)
-At least there was no chance he'd fall off-
If you're 91 years old, you really should get someone else to do this stuff for you. It's the privilege of the aged. "A 91-year-old German sparked a rescue operation when he slipped mending his roof and got stuck fast in tar 'like a beetle on its back,' police said on Tuesday." The unnamed Magdeburg resident was rescued without incident after being "completely glued to the roof." He's really lucky he didn't live out in the country or he might still be up there; passersby reported his predicament. (Reuters)
-Party game gone wrong-
40 high school students in Laredo, TX have been arrested on felony charges of theft and engaging in organized criminal activity after a scavenger hunt. Clearly, things got out of hand. "Police accused the students — most of them seniors at Laredo high schools — of swiping up to five truckloads of loot from across town. The scavenger list included items such as city traffic signs and pinatas, police said." (AP)
