The White House wants to appoint an overseer for the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, refering the position as the 'War Czar.' If you read that sentence as 'White House seeks patsy to blame for their failed policies and martial incompetence,' then you're not alone. According to the report, "At least three retired four-star generals approached by the White House in recent weeks have declined to be considered for the position..." Who could be stupid enough to take the job? I hear Rumsfeld has a lot of free time -- he's dumb enough to fall for it. (Washington Post)

Two men in Albuquerque, NM found what they say is the likeness of the Virgin Mary inside the trunk of a cherry tree they'd cut down on Good Friday. Actually, it only kind of looked like Mary, so they added oil to the wood (beats me) and then it looked like the Virgin Mary. So, you have to fire up a chainsaw, cut the tree down, oil it, and then Mary appears -- it's a miracle! Well, either that or an art project.(CBS4)
