The Stuff I Didn't Get To -- 4/14/07

Let me get this straight...
So she's not a 'ho,' right?

-Judges with experience-
Fifteen candiates are running for three nominations for traffic court in the May 15 democratic primary in Philadelphia, PA. These are people who know from traffic court -- of the fifteen, eight have unpaid traffic tickets. One, Brenda Reavis, owes $1,959. You've got to wonder if these people are running so they can dismiss their charges... (Philadelphia Daily News)

-The return of idiots with swords-
Two men have been arrested in Gateshead, UK after a bar fight outside the Azure Blue pub. One of the men is in the hospital with a broken leg and the windows of the pub had been smashed out. No word on where they got the swords (were they wearing them?) or why they both had them. But this story proves, once again, that drinking, morons, and really huge freakin' knives don't mix. (BBC)

-The devil (apparently) is in the details-
Rapper Snoop Dogg on Don Imus's use of the word 'ho': "(Rappers) are not talking about no collegiate basketball girls who have made it to the next level in education and sports... We're talking about hos that's in the 'hood that ain't doing ---- that's trying to get a n---- for his money." That clears that up, then. (AP)
