The Stuff I Didn't Get To -- 4/24/07

Will Florida make ballots even more confusing?

-Out of uniform-
A Hackettstown, NJ resident and his roommate were surprised to find a man dressed only in sneakers sitting in front of their computer when they woke up one recent morning. "Jerry B. Mahaffey, a U.S. Army recruiter in Hackettstown, broke into the house to use a computer to access Internet pornography sites," the report states. "Police said they later found Mahaffey's clothing behind The Laughing Lion, a nearby tavern..." Mahaffey is free on $2,500 bail and charged with burglary and lewdness. He'll no doubt be sent to the russian front... I mean, Fallujah. (Express-Times)

-Solving Florida's voting problems-
Actual headline, "'I Choose Not To Vote' May Soon Be Ballot Option." Because, as things are, people who go all the way to their local polling place not to vote are turned away without... Um, voting. I don't know; ask Florida state Sen. Mike Bennett. He's the Einstein behind this idea. (Local6.com)

-Why yes, that does look dangerous-
