The Stuff I Didn't Get To -- 4/25/07

Not a superhero

-Stan Lee should sue-
Florida resident Dr. Raymond Adamcik, 'dressed as Captain America and with a burrito stuffed in his tights,' was arrested Saturday night for groping women in a bar. Adamcik was participating in a pub crawl and there was some confusion over which person was responsible for the sexual harassment. "Because there were so many cartoon characters in the bar at this time, all Captain Americas were asked to go outside for a possible identification," the police report said. While being booked, Adamcik asked to use the bathroom and attempted to flush a baggie of pot. He's charged with battery, disorderly conduct, possession, misdemeanor abuse of a burrito, and dishonoring the image of a patriotic icon. Captain Marvel could not be reached for comment. -I guess I haven't seen the ads-
Actual headline; "TV ads boost eating of obese children by 130%." I'm surprised that anyone is eating obese children, let alone advertising it. (The Scotsman)

-One more reason why Rupert Murdoch's a prick-
Murdoch's NY Post printed an Associated Press story criticizing Democrats for giving a "death sentence" to millions of Iraqis by not giving Bush everything he wants. The byline was an AP reporter, David Espo, who told an interviewer, "I didn't write anything remotely like that. My name was on the story and I didn't write it anything like the way it was printed." In other words, the NY Post is publishing complete lies and crediting them with the wire service. Joseph Goebbels could not be reached for comment. (AMERICAblog)
