Creation Museum's featured porn star
-Madam, I'm Adam-
The Creation Museum has opened in Petersburg, KY and it's already got an honest to goodness scandal going -- well, other than the fact that it's a giant monument to bullshit and ignorance. Turns out the guy they hired to play Adam in a video has a website called 'Bedroom Acrobat,' which highlights skills you'd pretty much expect a website with a title like 'Bedroom Acrobat' to highlight. "The museum's operators, informed [June 7th] by The Associated Press of Linden's online appearances, acted swiftly to suspend airing of the 40-second video in which he appeared," the report reads. Evangelical Right also describes the model, Eric Linden, as a 'Sirfuxalot model' -- referring to a line of clothing that looks like it's been designed for gangbangers and porn stars.
Hey look, if it's the pre-tree-of-knowledge-incident Adam you're looking for, this guy would actually be pretty damned perfect. Seriously, what's the problem? (AP)
-Not much of a solution-
The town of Delcambre, LA must be pretty damned perfect -- it's able to waste time on shit that doesn't matter and outlaw baggy pants for teens. Says Police Chief James Broussard, "If you walk up and your pants drop, you get a fine. They're better off taking the pants off and just wearing a dress." I'm not sure why they're better off wearing a dress than baggy pants, but I think I may have just learned more about Delcambre Police Chief James Broussard than I ever wanted to know... (FOX)
-What century is this again?-
The Montgomery County school board is voting on whether or not teachers can tell students that homosexuality is not a mental illness. Seriously. According to the report, "An alliance of citizen groups opposed to the lessons on moral grounds has appealed to the Maryland State Board of Education, which is expected to rule this summer." In related news, teachers may not be allowed to tell kids that the flu isn't caused by a satanic dwarf living in your sinuses, (Washington Post)
