The couple in happier times
-More fun with wiki-vandalism-
Let's play "Spot the vandalism" in this version of Jenna Bush's Wikipedia entry:
On August 15, 2007, Jenna became engaged to Henry Hager, who is currently a graduate student in business administration at the University of Virginia. Hager has apparantely forgiven Jenna for her prior affair with Sadaam Hussein and states they have "put that incident behind them". Hager did his undergraduate work at Wake Forest University. He was a White House aide and worked for Karl Rove. He is also son of current Chairman of the Virginia Republican Party, and former Virginia lieutenant governor and U.S. Education Department assistant secretary John H. Hager.
That's right, both "Saddam Hussein" and "U.S. Education Department" should be linked. Don't vandalize Wikipedia, people. It's not funny. (Current entry at this Wikipedia link)
-How would you even think of it?-
Actual headline: "Ex-minister guilty in poisoned undies plot." Former South African police minister Adriaan Vlok pleaded guilty to trying to kill anti-apartheid activist Frank Chikane in 1989. He got ten years and, no doubt, he deserves it. The story doesn't really go into how this poisoned underwear plot was supposed to work, but I suppose it's not the sort of thing you'd want a lot of people knowing how to do. Call it responsible journalism. (Reuters)
-Headline of the day-
"At some stores, Christmas season has already gotten under way." The story's from Texas, where they don't get a lot of snow -- so what the hell do they know? Very soon, being a department store Santa could be a year-round gig. (Houston Chronicle)
