Will legendary redheads like Rita Hayworth become mere legends?

Atlanta City Councilman C.T. Martin is urging an amendment to Atlanta, GA's indecency code that would make baggy pants that show the underwear band a crime of public indecency. "I don't want young people thinking that half-dressing is the way to go," he said. "I want them to think about their future." How would wearing your pants around your knees as a teenager affect your future?
No one's really sure. Maybe prison or something. It's a lot harder to ditch the cops when your jeans are around your ankles. In that sense, I'm all for baggy pants. (Atlanta Journal-Constitution)

National Geographic is reporting that redheaded humans could be 'extinct' by the end of the century. According to the magazine, less than 2% of the world's population is naturally redheaded and that number is decreasing.
The problem is the fact that we now live in a global community. According to the report, this has "reduced the chances of redheads meeting and so producing little redheads of their own... Although it takes only one red-haired parent to produce ginger babies, two redheads obviously creates a much stronger possibility."
