The Stuff I Didn't Get To -- 1/21/08

Josh Brolin, bloodied and armed
The resemblance is uncanny...

-Bushed and Stoned-
Lefty director Oliver Stone has announced that his next project will be "Bush," a movie about the current resident of 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue starring Josh Brolin. If you're one of the handful of remaining Bush fans in the world, Stone wants you to know that you shouldn't worry.

"People have turned my political ideas into a cliche, but that is superficial," the director says. "I'm a dramatist who is interested in people, and I have empathy for Bush as a human being, much the same as I did for Castro, Nixon, Jim Morrison, Jim Garrison and Alexander the Great." See? He'll be balanced and accurate.

"I want a fair, true portrait of the man," Stone continues. "How did Bush go from an alcoholic bum to the most powerful figure in the world?" A former working title for the project was "Misunderestimated."

OK, so maybe not so balanced, but accurate nonetheless. (CBS News)

-Packers fans explained-
I found a nifty graphic to explain the mood of Packers fans last night:

Margarine tubs

When the game started, Packers fans had faith that they'd come out on top -- "I can't believe it's not butter!" As the game went on and the Pack stayed pretty much even with the Giants, faith was shaken and became hope --"Could it be butter?"

Sadly, by the time the game ended in overtime, we were left with only the cold, hard light of reason -- "Butter it's not!"

I'll never see margarine the same way again... (Tweebiscuit.net, Wisconsin State Journal)

-Headline of the day-
"Armed supremacists in Jena protest King holiday."

Because it's never a bad day to prove you're a freakin' moron. (Detroit Free Press)
