After withdrawing, Romney shuffled off the stage...
-Headline of the day-
"Romney to Suspend Campaign."
After getting whomped on Super Tuesday, Mittens announced he'd suspend his campaign. Turns out, it was starting to look like he wouldn't be able to buy the Oval Office. You know what this means, right?
it means that the question, "Who let the dogs out?" will go unanswered. (CBS News)
-In quitting, Mittens saves America-
In his withdrawal speech, Romney explained that if he didn't pull out, it would hurt John McCain's chances. That would be a bad thing because if Hillary or Barack won, it "would mean attacks on America." The dems would "retreat, declare defeat" and terrorists would take over the whole damned country.
"About this, I have no doubt," Mitt said. You mean like how you had no doubt that you'd get the nomination and become President? Is that the kind of certainty we're talking about here?
If so, I'm not losing any sleep over the way the Democrats are going to hand the nation over to Osama Bin Laden. (Think Progress)
-On the other hand, if Romney's right...-
...then we're royally screwed. TIME's blog, Swampland, reports that on Super Tuesday, "the Clinton/Obama race drew 76% more voters than the McCain/Romney/Huckabee race." If this trend continues, we're talking about a landslide of historic proportions for the eventual dem nominee.
Guess we're screwed then. Don't say Mittens didn't warn you. For future reference, Mecca's to the east -- you're going to need to know that. (TIME)
