Remember how an Obama staffer supposedly told the Canadian government not to worry about all his anti-NAFTA talk? Remember how Hillary Clinton made a big deal about that? Remember how Lou Dobbs kept harping on and on and on about "NAFTA-gate" on election night tuesday? Remember how NAFTA-gate was supposed to be a big clincher for many Ohio voters?
Turns out that the people who told Canada not to worry weren't from Team Obama. According to the report, the Canadian Prime Minister's chief of staff, Ian Brodie, "found himself in a room with CTV employees where he was quickly surrounded by a gaggle of reporters while other journalists were within earshot of other colleagues."
"He said someone from Clinton's campaign is telling the embassy to take [Hillary's anti-NAFTA talk] with a grain of salt... That someone called us and told us not to worry," we're told.
It's official. Hillary Clinton has zero class. She's attacking Obama for supposedly doing what she did. Lying about Obama's position on NAFTA is one thing, but lying about her position on NAFTA -- to her supporters -- is another.
That's just indefensible.
In related news, those "Obama's a Mooslum terr'ist" emails? Hillary's campaign.
Like my headline says, low rent. (Globe and Mail)

"GOP Campaign Arm Missing Cash."
Of course they are. There's no way you can have Republicans overseeing any amount of cash without it being the fox watching the henhouse. The National Republican Campaign Committee, which finances House races, is missing a "significant amount of money."
How significant? Somebody-called-in-the-FBI significant.
Making matters worse is that the GOP has employed the same bookkeeping skills that they've used for the Iraq war. "We don't know if it's a big number or a small number," says an unnamed law enforcement agent. "It looks like something was stolen. But we don't have an accurate number. We don't know."
Golly, embezzlement from the Republican party. How unfortunate. The FBI is investigating former treasurer Christopher J. Ward, who I'm sure is innocent of any wrongdoing -- Republicans being so moral and all... (Washington Post)

...if obvious. British company Wannabeco has come up with a replacement for those wire hangers you get from dry cleaners -- cardboard hangers.
"We have worked with British dry-cleaners to design a product that is environmentally sound and strong enough to do the job," said Toby Massey, Head of Design and Operations at Wannabeco. "These dry-cleaners have been striving over the past few years to reduce their carbon footprints and become more ecologically friendly."
The hangers -- called the "BecoHanger" -- are 100% recyclable and will put a dent in the estimated 100 million wire hangers that wind up in UK landfills each year.
Added bonus; getting beaten with a BecoHanger by an enraged Joan Crawford who screams, "No paper hangers ever!" really doesn't hurt at all. (Environment Times)
