But the victory appears likely to only stave off the inevitable -- Barack Obama appears primed to mathematically clinch the Democratic nomination on Tuesday night.
Obama is already preparing to declare victory in the Democratic race. In something of an in-your-face move to Republicans, he plans his rally on Tuesday night in the same arena in St. Paul, Minn., where John McCain will accept the GOP nomination in September.
