GOP Fears Libertarian Barr Could Be an '08 Spoiler

Consumer advocate Nader is the third-party candidate many Democrats blame for helping George W. Bush narrowly win in 2000.

If a vote's close in a swing state, Barr could pull even a small percenage and throw it to Obama.

On the other hand, since recent polling gives Obama a double digit lead nationally, a "spoiler effect" might be a moot point.
