Pictured, l. to r.; Barack Obama, that one guy
-John McWho?-
A new poll out shows that people see John McCain as a bit of a mystery. According to the report, "With Election Day still three months away, 48 percent said they're hearing too much about the Democratic candidate, according to a poll released Wednesday by the nonpartisan Pew Research Center. Just 26 percent said the same about his Republican rival, John McCain."
Although the story doesn't mention it, a big part of the problem might just possibly be that John McCain spends most of his time talking about Barack Obama. When a guy's running for president, you kind of expect him to talk about the stuff he'd do, not make up shit to tell people the other guy's going to do.
Can't blame me, though. I've been spending plenty of time on McCain. Looks like maybe the media should follow suit. And John McCain. Maybe John McCain should talk about John McCain.
Then again, I don't suppose McCain wants to lose. (AP. via reddit)
-Headline of the day-
"Ari Fleischer drafted by Packers to broker deal with Favre."
That'd be former Bush press secretary Ari Fleischer, the man Bush picked to lead his media charge to convince America Saddam Hussein had a death ray.
I think this means we're going to invade Green Bay. (Think Progress)
-Bonus HotD-
"Bush 'optimistic' about China but voices 'deep concern.'"
Of course, that's not completely schizoid at all. President Grumpy has "deep concerns over religious freedom and human rights" in China, but President Happy is "optimistic about China’s future."
Meanwhile, President Dopey couldn't figure out how to get chopsticks to work and President Bashful declined comment. (The Hill)
