Community volunteer feeds the homeless... BOO!!
-They're worse than terr'ists-
Last night, Sarah Palin and Rudy Giuliani took a moment to diss community organizers at the Republican National Convention. The problem with people who volunteer to work in soup kitchens, at job training seminars, and community centers? Apparently Barack Obama was one of them. So they're bad. Let's all hate them. Grrr!!
"My parents are watching," CNN contributor Martin said, "and let me tell you something. They were community organizers. And this audience here -- she mocked community organizers, and this audience laughed at them."
Hey Roland, I can explain why they did that. Republicans are pricks. If Obama had worked with Mother Teresa, that'd be worthy of ridicule too.
Seriously, they're complete assholes. It's who they are, it's what they do. So, from now on, be warned -- if you volunteer to organize a school bake sale, it means you hate America. (Raw Story, with video)
-They're racists, too-
GOP Rep. Lynn Westmorland discusses Michelle and Barack Obama, "Just from what little I’ve seen of her and Mr. Obama, Sen. Obama, they’re a member of an elitist-class individual that thinks that they’re uppity."
And I'm a member of the reality-based community who thinks you're a horse's ass, Lynn. (Think Progress)
-Headline of the day-
"Obama Fundraising Goes Bonkers After GOP's Day-Long Attack."
Well, that was unhelpful. Team McCain, already behind in the fundraising department, fell about $1 million behinder recently. Where Sarah Palin's VP selection has turned out $7 million in enthusiastic GOP money since it was announced, the night of her acceptance speech was so freakin' crazy that Obama raised around $8 million -- today. Go ahead and bump that number up a little, if you're so inclined.
In the meantime, I've changed my mind. Giuliani, Huckabee, Palin, and Mittens were brilliant last night! Encore! Encore! (MoJo Blog)
