The Stuff I Didn't Get To -- 10/7/08

-Jerome Corsi, illegal immigrant-
Professional lying sack Jerome Corsi, head swiftboater and author of The Obama Nation; Leftist Politics and the Cult of Personality has been deported.

Sadly, he's been deported from Kenya, not the US. The problem -- a visa violation. Corsi was in the African nation -- where Obama is wildly popular, by the way -- to promote his anti-Obama book. According to the report, "Authorities in Kenya, where Obama's father was born, said Corsi had entered the country as a tourist and wasn't allowed to work here. A Kenyan aide to Corsi said that he was en route to the airport Tuesday evening and would be deported."

So far, there's been no statement from Corsi, although the hotel he'd booked issued one saying it "does not condone any smear campaigns." Sounds like Jerry has reason to thank the Kenyan government here -- they probably saved him from getting his lousy ass kicked. (McClatchy)

-[Reddit] headline of the day-
"I’m tired of him having to defend his name while these assholes are trying to dismantle the Republic. Barack Hussein Obama. 44th President of the USA. Get used to it."

A-freakin'-men, buddy. Actual story at dKos. (reddit)

-[Actual] headline of the day-
"Trash-talk of the day: Get off my lawn!"

Obama aide Robert Gibbs, wonder what's going to happen at tonight's debate; "Are we going to get the guy who yells at the kids to 'Get off my lawn,' or do we want to talk about issues that matter?"

Actually, my money's on the unnamed third choice -- the guy who chases kids off his lawn with a shotgun full of rock salt. I think McCain might even break out a new slogan -- "McCain '08; because crazy times call for a crazy president." (Politico)
