Bush and Rove Seek to Rewrite History

On Tuesday, Stephen Hayes, right-wing pundit for CNN, revealed that George Bush and Karl Rove have launched a monumental, new propaganda campaign to rewrite the record of failure over the past eight years. In typical Orwellian fashion, they’re calling this new enterprise the “Bush legacy project.”

They rolled out their historical revisionism this week — first in an “exit interview” Bush gave Charlie Gibson of ABC News and then in an Oxford-style debate in Manhattan in which Rove argued against the proposition that “Bush 43 Is the Worst President of the Last 50 Years” — with a concerted attempt to rewrite Bush’s role in the invasion of Iraq, which many military and foreign affairs analysts rate as the worst foreign affairs blunder in U.S. history.

Absent impeachment or a trial, there is only one way to stop him: The truth-squadding of George Bush’s term in office cannot, must not — will not — ever end.
Kind of a follow up to my morning post.

It may be that the only punishment these guys ever face for their crimes will be the judgment of history and the total loss of reputation. We can't let them weasel out of even that.
