Birthers?
-Headline of the day-
"20% Of Americans Are 'Birthers'; 31% Of 'Birthers' Approve Of Obama; America Is Weird."
It is indeed. Birthers are crazy people who believe that Barack Obama is an illegal alien and, consequently, hate Obama. That's been the assumption everyone's been operating under, anyway. But a new ABC News/Washington Post poll shows that roughly a third of birthers love Obama. Yeah, crazy. I know.
It gets better (or worse, depending on your point of view). According to the report, "15% are Democrats, 12% call themselves 'liberal' and 11% identified themselves as Obama VOTERS IN 2008."
Seriously people, WTF? (Mediaite)
-Cartoon time with Mark Fiore-
Hey kids, what would happen if an alien came to Earth and asked someone how we got to work?

I guess we'd have to answer that we get there in vehicles powered by crazy... (MarkFiore.com)
-Bonus HotD-
"Florida legislature fails to outlaw sex with animals."
Passing laws about what gays and lesbians can and can't do? Totally legit. Passing laws against screwing a horse? Tyrrany!
I guess Republicans probably didn't want to piss off their constituents. (Think Progress)

I don't see any contradiction there. It's possible to believe Obama is a good president, even if you don't believe he was born in the USA. What's illogical about that?
Yeah, I know that would make him "unconstitutional". But so what? When the constitution was written (they could point out), the term 'natural-born citizen' was not even defined anyway, so the requirement was meaningless back then. George Washington wasn't a 'natural-born American citizen'.
The question is whether he's the best person for the job. Where he was born is a distraction at best.
