Still tearing up the street out front, so still living on a dirt road. Still not quaint. Still not charming. Still not rustic. Will update if any of this changes. Now here's the news...
CNN's new show Parker Spitzer really brings the suck.
Jon Stewart lands the final punch in the Sanchez vs. Stewart bout -- by being the better man.
Is the US Chamber of Commerce using foreign bucks to back GOP candidates?
Reality forces the military to go a little more green. In somewhat -- but not really -- related news, the White House is getting new solar panels after all.
Christine O'Donnell goes out of her way to tell voters she's not crazy. Ends up disturbing them with the possibility that "I'm you."
Russ Feingold says that Republicans and Tea Partiers are "dancing in the end zone" and counting their chickens before they hatch. RUSS!!
Republican tough guys gather up their petticoats, jump on a chair, and shriek, "Eek! It's the media!" Kevin Drum calls them "bubble candidates" and says hiding from public scrutiny "may represent the future of campaigning." Let's hope he's wrong, but I'm afraid media cowardice may very well be the future of politics.
A new Washington Post/ABC News poll shows "Democrats have cut in half the GOP's early-September advantage on the question of which party's candidates voters say they will support on Nov. 2." Doing twice as good still isn't good enough though. "Despite these apparent signs of improvement, the new Post-ABC poll suggests that Democrats remain at a significant disadvantage," we're told. Still, rapid movement in the right direction -- I'll take it.
Finally, Glenn Beck is stealing conspiracy theories from Alex Jones. I'm not really sure whose credibility is damaged more by the revelation. George Noory must be feeling pretty left out right now, though.
