Stories to Watch: 2/5/12

Short one today. All the news is about this big Super-Duper Bowl thing that all the kids are into. In fact, Non-Bowl news is probably dead for the day. Now here's (what there is of) the news...

Romney wins big in Nevada, but the trend continues -- turnout is described as "disappointing."

Gingrich's big midnight press conference turns out to be a waste of time. "I’m not going to withdraw," Newt says and predicts he'll win Texas -- which is weird, because no one knows when Texas will actually hold it's primary. Mostly likely, it would be some time in April or later. Basically, it was a bait-and-switch to get reporters to generate Gingrich headlines on a big Romney night. Someone tell Noodles the story of the boy who cried wolf.

Rick Santorum dusts off the completely debunked "abortion causes breast cancer" thing.

A new NASA study shoots down one of climate deniers' favorite claims. Human activity, not solar activity, is behind global warming.

Finally, Republican voters are just paranoid dicks.
