Why we need to spend more time looking at the whole
economy, rather than just how well Wall Street's doing.
A rightwing blog reports that the FBI is distancing themselves from the
hate group-tracking Southern Poverty Law Center. This
is wishful thinking on their part.
It says a lot about the right that A.) they consider SPLC an enemy and
B.) that they work so hard at trying convince themselves that the
bigoted hate groups the right supports and defends aren't really hate groups at all.
Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker strikes a blow against the spreading scourge
of democracy
by signing a bill into law ending weekend voting. When a Republican who thinks this is a great idea tells you they love freedom, they're lying.
The enemies of democracy are the enemies of freedom. Scott Walker and the Wisconsin Republican Party are
enemies of freedom.

opposites.

relaunched FiveThirtyEight.com. Frankly, I think Krugman has the better point
-- that Silver's confusing some issues by bringing his own
self-proclaimed experts to fields and subjects already covered by
actual -- and more knowledgeable -- experts.
An Oregon woman beat her four-year-old son to death
because she thought he would grow up to be gay. Homophobia is far from
harmless.
Finally, Obamacare signups top 6 million.
