The Stuff I Didn't Get To -- 5/14/07

President Bush shown refraining from talking tough to Shaquille O'Neal

-A damned good helmet-
A panel truck ran over a UW-Madison graduate student friday. In fact, it ran over his freakin' head. Ryan Lipscomb suffered a concussion, but is otherwise fine. Lipscomb and the truck had a little right-of-way disagreement and he was forced to lock up his brakes, throwing him over his handlebars and into the path of the truck. "I didn't see it coming, but I sure felt it roll over my head. It feels really strange to have a truck run over your head," Lipscomb said. I'll take his word for that. His helmet, a Giro, was crushed. Seems to have done an excellent job, though. (Capital Times)

-Quote of the day-
Barack Obama on President Bush: "It's not just talking tough, because the truth is nobody's talked tougher than George Bush over the last six years. Being tough means, first of all, not having to talk about it all the time." (Political Wire)

-"It's good t'be da king"-
22 year old Kristin Georgi and 84 year old Joe Hardy, both of Masontown, PA, were married in Las Vegas earlier this month.

Here's a fun game; guess which one's a multi-millionare lumber magnate. (Pittsburgh Post-Gazette)
