-News item as metaphor-
On the way to Dulles Airport in DC, Mike Huckabee's press bus ran out of gas. According to the report, "The driver turned the key over and over, desperately hoping that the gas needle firmly set on ‘E’ was wrong. The staffer in charge of wrangling the press called ahead to let the campaign know what had happened, as the press in the back of the van pondered whether there were any metaphorical implications."
A spokesperson for the Huckabee campaign explained that, as a creationist, Mike has a problem with fossils and, therefore, fossil fuels. Huckabee's bus runs on the power of prayer and the providence of the Almighty. A staffer with a gas can was sent to find the nearest church. (CNN)

-Raises more questions than it answers-
Forget the primaries, today is National Pancake Day at International House of Pancakes. Is it a national international pancake day or is it an international national pancake day? And what other nations have IHOPs? Can I get apple-flavored pancake syrup in S. Korea? Is IHOP recognized by the UN?
Whatever, you get a free stack of pancakes when you give a donation to The Children's Miracle Network, which -- although it sounds like it -- does not fuel up Mike Huckabee's bus.
Mmmm... pancakes... (WTOCTV.com, Savannah, Georgia)
