The Stuff I Didn't Get To -- 2/19/08

Women catches elephant crap in a bag
An unnamed CNN staffer receives GOP talking points for Beck

-Whitey strikes again-
Fresh off making yesterday's roundup, Glenn Beck expands on his prick bona fides.

In backing up Bush fearmongering over FISA and telcom immunity, Glenn told his core demographic of drooling mental patients that the president's call to freak the fuck out! was well placed.

"He feels -- and I happen to agree with him -- that this congressional game-playing by Nancy Pelosi will end up killing Americans," Glenn "Whitey" Beck said. That's right -- if AT&T gets sued, terrorists will come by your house and kill you. If you believe this, you're two things -- a gullible moron and a Glenn Beck fan.

Sorry for being redundant there. (Think Progress)

-Highway to Hell-
According to the report, "The [Virginia] House of Delegates voted 90-3 Monday to name a section of U.S. 460 in Lynchburg the Jerry Falwell Parkway..."

You've got to assume that progress will be illegal on this highway and that vehicles will be required to move backward. (Right Wing Watch)

-It's got to be some sort of human rights offense-
WaPo's political blog, The Fix, is running a contest asking people to call the Wisconsin Primary. Chris Cillizza sets the rules thusly; "we want the correct order of finish (with percentages) for the two Wisconsin races as well as the storyline that emerges from today's voting." The winner get a Fix t-shirt (who knew they'd have those and how geeky would you feel wearing one?).

Most entries in the comment thread predict Obama and McCain to take it. But one entry shows why only professionals should be allowed to write headlines. User "dangreenstone" writes:

Sweet Jesus, that's awful. So why did I share that?

You think I'm going to suffer alone? (Washington Post)
