Dick Cheney reacts to the news of an impending arrest warrant
-Headline of the Day-
"Nigerian Government To Charge Dick Cheney In Massive Bribery Case."
Looks like the Big Dick's got himself a little bit of a problem. Seems that when he was the CEO of some small-time mom and pop known as Halliburton, he was just a tiny bit crooked. According to the report, "The Nigerian government will charge former Vice President Dick Cheney in a massive bribery case involving $180 million in kickbacks paid to Nigerian lawmakers, who awarded a $6 billion natural gas pipeline contract to Halliburton subsidiary KBR when Cheney was running the company."
How serious is this? Pretty darned serious. The report also tells us that an arrest warrant "will be issued and transmitted through Interpol" in the next three days. So, if Dick Cheney disappears for a little bit, he's probably hiding in the jungles of Ecuador or something.
You know what I like best about this? The Interpol part. Conservatives point to an arrest warrant for Wikileaks founder Julian Assange as proof that he's a criminal mastermind who ought to be strung up by his heels. Now that Cheney's got the same paperwork after him, you've got to wonder how they're going to rush to his defense.
But don't worry, they will find a way. They always do. Hypocrisy is no impediment to Republicans. (Think Progress)
